JOLIE PEAL
Reporter ~ Writer ~ Producer
I have worked at Nebraska Public Media as the Education Reporter since June 2023. I've visited many communities, including North Platte, Scottsbluff, Gering, Norfolk, Brady, Benkelman, Grand Island, Kearney, Omaha and Lincoln.
I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor's degree in journalism and broadcasting. During college, I interned at Hail Varsity where I created videos and social media content on Husker sports. I also wrote and edited for The Daily Nebraskan covering news and culture.
I grew up in Omaha and graduated from Marian High School, where I took journalism classes my junior and senior year. Seeing the stories in my high school's newspaper and eventually getting to write them started the love for journalism I have today.
In my free time, I attend local music shows, volunteer at Felius Cat Cafe, teach dance classes and read.
