My Work
I began covering education for Nebraska Public Media News in 2023. I've covered stories about preschool and K-12 all the way through college. I've also served as a substitute for the afternoon show, All Things Considered, as well as the newsroom podcast, Nebraska Update. I also produced two Nebraska Stories pieces.
I have won a regional Edward R. Murrow award, along with a first place Eric Sevareid award from the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association. I have also received five Nebraska Broadcasters Association awards.
While attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I worked for The Daily Nebraskan as a reporter and editor. I also wrote articles for Nebraska News Service.

Nebraska Stories
This Nebraska Stories piece covers a century long football rivalry between two middle schools in Grand Island, likely the longest rivalry in the state. I set up and conducted some of the interviews, decided what b-roll to get, wrote the script and gave guidance on the editing process.
This Nebraska Stories piece is about a newspaper in Stapleton that started a speakeasy in it's old printing press room. I set up and conducted some of the interviews, decided what b-roll to get, wrote the script and gave guidance on the editing process.
